Top 5 Social Apps!

Hi!

So this is a bit of a different blog post for me, but as i have my smart phone with all the different social media apps on i thought i would tell you which ones i thought worked best and were easiest to function. ( This is all my opinion by the way, you don't have to agree with any of it!) Obviously the lay out may be different on different software but i am doing this for an IOS software. Here we go!

1.Instagram.
This is a very basic app i find, with 5 main sections. 'Home' 'Explore' 'Take a photo' 'Following/News' And 'Profile'. I love the layout of this as it is all very minimalist with its boxy layout and same font throughout. It is verty easy to use and everything is very obvious, no messing with instagram! 5/5

2. Tumblr.
Tumblr has a very similar layout to instagram which may be one of the reasons why i like it so much... Once again it has 5 main sections 'Home' 'Search' 'Post' 'Account' And 'Activity'. Ever since the update i find it has become a lot easier to navigate and more about the posts than the information about it.I really love how easy it is to see what interactions people have with your blog! 4/5

3.Snapchat.
Now snapchat is a bit hit and miss for me, some days i use it A LOT and others i dispise it! However, the set up of the app is very well done. The 'home page' is where you take your photos, if you swipe left you go to your contacts and if you swipe right you go to the 'Snaps' you have been sent. Simples! I love how easy the swiping lets you access your account and the only complex bit it trying to work out the new chat system....4/5

4.Twitter.
This would be higher up if i did this about a year ago, but ever since the new update a while ago it has degraded a bit. It has 4 main sections 'Timelines*' 'Notifications' 'Messages' 'Me'. These are easy enough to work your way around and are pretty plain and simple. But in the Timelines* part you have to swipe to see the discover and activy part of the app. This was just a big hassle as sometimes you can accidentally click on notifications or swipe without meaning to! Also, it doesn't really mention what these are for or how they will benifit you by having the option to view them. Overall this app is okay but i would prefer a few tweaks here and there. 3/5

5.Facebook.
I have lost a bit of interest in facebook but it is still there for me to view and see what people are up to (Nosey!) When you open the app you come to a screen which has many different things going on, there is a search bar up the top with three options below, Status, Photo and Check. At the bottom is' News feed' 'Requests' 'Messenger' 'Notifications' And 'More'. When you click on all of them they go to exactly what they say they are, exept More...This brings up LOADS of different options which half of them i have never even heard of on the website! Also the bit where you can start a chat you have to swipe right for and then comes up in an annoying little bubble on your screen or you can go to messages which redirects you to yet another app! Anyway, this app isn't terrible, but it certainly isn't the simplicity of what i think an app should be, you don't get the easy acces you want most of the time. 2/5
