New in at ARKET.
Arket are one of my favourite brands on the high street, the curation of their items is just perfect, and usuall neutral so more often than not the pieces are timeless. Great for both your wardrobe and your wallet! Arket don't flood their new in section everyday like most brands, so when a new collection drops its exciting to scroll through and find your favourites!
Last year I bought a linen co-ord from Arket, and it was my staple throughout spring / summer. The fabric is so lightweight but amazingly structured, and of course how breathable linen is is perfect for those hot summer days. (Which can't come soon enough.) The mother of pearl buttons are an amazing detail which I find set Arket apart on the high street, and the front pocket is a lovely detail. The shirt is currently available in Light beige but is coming soon in 3 others, I personally have my eye on the Bright Green.
One garment Arket does so well is a basic, they are often a little pricier than your H&M or Zara, but the quality is excellent. They released these boat-neck style top's last year, however I was too slow in purchasing one and they sold out! This year I won't be so slow and will pick up both the white and the black as these will work so hard in your wardrobe. They are easy to style up with a pair of your favourite statement earrings and straight-leg trousers, or wear it casually tucked into a comfy pair or denim and chunky trainers. The lavender colour that is coming soon looks so flattering too.
You can't go wrong with a classic leather bag, and the woven detail ensures that although it is dark colour, the bag still has a summer feel. The larger, padded strap means although it is a shoulder bag it will still be comfortable to wear all day. (Even if it is filled with items you don't need!) I also adore the shape, reminiscent of the Prada Nylon bag but with a practical twist. The medium size also makes it a great day to night bag.
4. Oversized wool hopsack blazer.
Wow, the sage green shade is gorgeous for spring / summer, and the tortoiseshell button compliments perfectly. I love how it is single breasted with the larger vent at the back to achieve that relaxed fit, perfect for wearing over a great pair of straight denim jeans or even a summer dress. Once again, this blazer is available in a great colour range of neutrals so a shade to compliment all. Also, the composition is made 100% from their responsible wool, meaning no sheep were harmed, and it is tracked through all processing stages, so that is a great addition too!
The dad sandal took off in 2019/20, and is still a huge trend this year. I love this pair of 100% leather sandals as the silver hardware is just chunky enough, and has a polished effect to compliment the semi-matt leather perfectly, which although looks smooth in texture will still look great when worn in. The nature of this style also means that the more you wear them the more they mould to your feet and become so comfortable. Perfect for those hot summer days where you want to simply but quickly elevate any outfit!
These are the perfect summer bag, the beige jute fabric is typically summer and the cotton interior makes for a perfect everyday summer bag; it would compliment the previous linen shirt very well. The leather detail trim on the bag is a great addition and the drawstring pulls bring it back to an easy, wearable piece for summer 2021. The larger size would be perfect for any summer picnics or trips to the beach with friends. The larger size has an invisible set zip to keep your items safe, while both feature a magnetic closure. The smaller size comes with a detachable shoulder strap which is great for day-time but pairing a great pair of heels with the leather trim is also an excellent way to elevate the bag for the evenings.
